“When you wake up in the morning, is there a level of enthusiasm for starting your work? And, when you close your laptop that night, do you look back at the day and think it was a good day, or do you think you misplaced your time?”

I had the opportunity to speak with The Globe and Mail about the phenomenon dubbed the Great Resignation - a wave of workers in Canada and the U.S. who are leaving their jobs. 

I myself changed jobs during this period. In my case, I saw joining Forma.ai as an opportunity to build something. To be part of an early startup and work alongside a team where our level of impact is exponential.

What can employers do to continue growing through this Great Resignation? A few ideas I shared were to introduce hybrid work options, flexible time off, flexible working hours, and employee-directed budgets that support learning and growth.
