I had the opportunity to speak with the Toronto Star about a recent string of public layoffs happening across the Canadian tech sector. If you’re laid off, the article shares tips on how to navigate that experience best.

As someone who has experienced a layoff, I spoke about how I created a spreadsheet listing all the open roles I was interested in when I had been laid off, along with the company name and hiring manager. I then sent that list to his former manager, reminding him of his offer to help get an introduction from anyone the manager knew.
